To try and organise any out door event in Melbourne at this time of the year is basically asking for trouble weather wise. To make the event a drag race meeting you are incurring the wrath of all the gods. So it was that the Nostalgia Drag Racers, the Victorian Hot Rod Association and the Australian Street Rod Federation hosted the Hot Rod and Nostalgia Drags on cold, nearly wet and very windy Mothers Day.
The event was very well supported by the rodders and the Nostalgia Drag racers, if it had've been a bit nicer day and not Mothers Day I'm sure there would have been a much larger crowd than what we had. For those that did come they were very well entertained for the whole day with few breaks and pleanty of close racing.
